So many people contact Miniature horse owners about the breed and how one can become involved. The Miniature Horse Club of Arizona is presenting the best opportunity to become really involved with Miniature Horses for just a five dollar investment. On Sunday, March 3, 2002, at the Miniature Horse Touch of Class Show at Westworld, someone will hold the lucky ticket drawn, allowing them to own a Miniature driving horse, cart, and harness! Wow!!! This annual raffle usually just involves a young animal that requires some growing time to reach the right age for driving training. This different approach that involves a animal with driving training is a bountiful way to find a great entry into our small world. Having the harness and cart as part of the prize is really the perfect combination to this wonderful opportunity. The papered, black three-year old Miniature gelding, is registered in both the American Miniature Horse Association and the American Miniature Horse Registry. His official name is Pinion Hills Sterling Edition. Orphaned in the first months, 'Sterling' now is nearly mature at 33" Presently, Austin Van Wyke of Victory Lane Training Center is working with this wonderful gelding, and 'Sterling' is well started in driving training. A leather harness and easy-entry style of cart is part of the prize. Tickets can be purchased from any AMHA member, and are $5.00 each, or five for $20.00.
