The Spring Fling Quarter Horse Show April 6th-7th 2002, will be held at Westworld in Scottsdale, with a full line-up of classes except cattle classes. Judges are John and Kenda Pipkin; Show Secretary, Shawn Health (623) 551-8381; Show Manager, Tor Sorensen. Pre entry must be made before April 5th, 2002, to avoid the post entry fee of $25. The grounds fee is $5 per horse per day, and stalls are $40 for the first day and $20 for the second night. The other Quarter Horse Show in April is the 27th-28th. This show is sponsored by the Arizona Quarter Horse Youth Association. This show will be held at the Horse Lovers Park in Phoenix, just off of Tatum road. This show will have all youth, select, open, amateur and novice classes including team roping, calf roping, breakaway roping and working cow horse classes. If you have not come to a horse show at this arena, you are missing out. The arena ground is very good and the horsepark is first rate. This show is a fundraiser for the Arizona Youth Association and they would like to invite everyone out to show their horses or just to watch the horse show. For further information about either show, call the AzQHA general office at (623) 869-7676. | ||||||
